Beaming, Inc is the
location (1535 S. Park Rd., Neenah) for this unique opportunity for children
who have siblings with special needs to learn about horses and how riding
them can help people with disabilities. Sibshop includes a tour of the
barn, lessons on caring for horses, a craft project, Sibshop games, snack
and an opportunity to ride a horse! (Must wear long pants and
close-toed shoes to ride.)
Families are invited to come to a free picnic following the Sibshop in
Mahler Park, across the street from Beaming. Bring a dish to pass.
Drinks, plates, utensils provided.

Siblings always enjoy this Sibshop, no matter what diagnosis their brother or
sister has...autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and any other developmental
disability or long-term illness. Its all about meeting other siblings with
experiences in common and having fun while better understanding their sibling’s
condition and their own important role as a brother or sister.

Future is Now! program gave us the tools to have the discussions in
our family about planning. We also benefited from the conversations
that we had with other adult siblings who are going through the same
planning process as us.
